Practice with mock interviews! Get friends or family to ask you tough questions. Record yourself and watch it back - you will notice things you can improve.
Research the department thoroughly. Know their values, recent incidents, and community involvement. Show them you have done your homework.
Use the STAR method for behavioral questions. Have 5-6 solid stories ready that demonstrate different qualities like teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, etc.
